Two of Nepal’s most prestigious literary prizes, the Madan Puraskar and the Jagadamba Shree is managed by the Madan Puraskar Guthi. The prizes are 2,00,000 each and rewarded after “Ghatasthapana.”
The Madan Puraskar award is given annually to one Nepali language literary work that stands out from other works published that year. The Jagadamba Shree is awarded to an individual or organization that has made significant contribution to Nepali language, culture, literature or other areas.
