Located at Jeet Jung Marg, Thapathali, Martin Chautari is a wonderful space whose primary objective is to strengthen the social contract between state and citizens by expanding and making inclusive the public sphere with informed dialogue, analytically rigorous research and viable policy choices.
Since 2001, Martin Chautari began publishing books in the Chautari Book Series. Most of the books have been published in the thematic areas in which MC has worked institutionally. By July 2013, 75 books had been published in the Chautari Book Series, 80 percent of them in the Nepali language.
They have discussions on Sundays and Tuesdays. There is a Chautari library which is open from Sunday to Friday from 10:30 am to 5 pm with break time from 2pm to 2:30pm.
