Nepal Academy will have its own library

On January 30, 2014, the Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Ranjit Rae laid the foundation stone for the construction of a three-storied library building for Nepal Academy in Kathmandu. The library for Nepal Academy will be built with Indian assistance of NRs. 44.12 million. The function was attended by representatives of Ministries of Urban Development, Culture, Civil Aviation and Tourism, Govt of Nepal, community leaders and a large number of people from the area.

Established in 1957, Nepal Academy is a premier national institution devoted to the promotion of languages, literature, culture, philosophy, research and the overall development of cultural and intellectual fields by bringing together and coordinating national and international activities. The new library building being constructed will provide better facilities to the researchers and academicians of Nepal for research and reference of invaluable books.
