Two of Nepal’s most prestigious literary prizes, the Madan Puraskar and the Jagadamba Shree is managed by the Madan Puraskar Guthi. The country’s highest literary accolades were recently given out at an award ceremony at Rato Bangala school, Patan Dhoka. Radha Poudel received Madan Puraskar for her book, ‘Khalangama Hamala’ and Shiva Regmi was honored with ‘Jagadamba Shree’ for his contributions in Nepali literature.
Kamal Mani Dixit, President of Madan Puraskar Society gave away the awards to both the winners for the year 2070 (BS). The full video of the award ceremony can be found on the Madan Puraskar Pustakalaya YouTube channel.
Madan Puraskar Pustakalaya (MPP) was established in Baishak 1, 2013 B.S. with the objective to collect and preserve resources in the Nepali language, as well as manuscripts, photographs, audio-visual materials and other artifacts of national, historical and cultural significance.
